You haven't updated this thing since MARCH?! Oh the horror, the terror, the disappointment...now that is out of the way.
A good story, you have takent the time to build the story. Which is rare in itself. I feel that Harry's actions are going to cost him. He may be willing to kill now, but he's going about it the wrong way and it is going to cost him.
Still, this was fun to read. I hope you do decided to contiue it at some point. It's to good to just abandon.
Good luck.

Totally, completely and undeniably brilliant!
I have rarely enjoyed a story more, be it fanfic or published novel.
Your combination of humour, action, fabulous characterizations, cool plot and genuine emotion had me reading this in one sitting from 1am right through to 11.30am.
I'm totally blown away by your talent and skill as a writer, and will be following you carefully.

I saw a reference/recommendation to this story a week ago and came back to revisit one of my favourite chapters and got stuck in the briar patch ... my only escape was to re-read it through to the end. Well, the end of what you've published thus far.
The very last word of which (on this site) is 'TBC...', by the way ...
I do hope that one day we get to see this story continued. I want to see the lovely, touching relationship between Harry and Hermione evolve - you've written that very, very well, I love how you paint H/Hr in your stories. I want to see how Ginny reacts when Luna makes her feelings known (typically that's not my cup of tea but you've laid it out so slowly, and engendered such empathy in us for Luna, I just want them both to be happy, and keenly hoping for same). I hope to see Ron stabilised. And I want to see big explosions, scattered chunks of Death Eaters and a Voldemort-shaped mushroom cloud :-)
Reading your Author's Notes on the fanfiction.net version you were happily answering fans' questions, saying things like 'the L/G relationship takes form in the next two chapters' and 'the story is only one-third complete thus far'. Arrrgh! Talk about a tease ... :-)
I hope you're OK and that one day you might complete this. Cheers.

This is a great story ... you write it so well. I've read it before (and left comments), but was reminded of it today when it was referenced in a Yahoo group, came in for a quick browse, and got caught.
As in your other stories - even 'Those who Hunt Death-Eaters'! - you have a wonderful talent in writing characters whose warmth and compassion for each other just strike me to the core. Maybe I'm just a softie, but I really feel for the central characters you've written here. The Harry/Hermione relationship for example, is very touching; I desperately want to see that followed through to the end!
I do hope one day you manage to continue/conclude this great story. Backwards Compatible seems to be one of those stories in HP fandom which everyone knows; its "value" would be an order of magnitude amplified were it to be complete.

I'd like to think you read these. So I'm going to ask out of the kindness of your heart will you please come back. In my time spent in the Fan fiction world, the have been very few stories that I've grow so attached to as this one. I realise that you are a very busy man, but please I love this story. I really do. It's like the books in fan fiction form. If it helps you have a following and we adore and admire you and your talent to the fullest extent. Thanks and have a nice day!

Wow! Great story so far -- I can't wait for more (so please hurry ;-). I hope Harry and Hermione continue to become closer, and that Ginny soon realizes that Luna is on the prowl. Finding out who Ron's future wife is. I would also love if Luna managed to talk Hermione and Ginny into "helping" Harry with the sex-based power-ritual. Don't know how long you'll keep this story going, but perhaps (if they survives the war) Ginny and Luna -- with Hermione's permission -- could enlist Harry's help if they wanted children.
Anyway, keep up the great work and post more soon.

Just re-read this again - with a great deal of enjoyment - you have a wonderful way of painting scenes with a few words, saving the precise descriptions for those places that they are absolutely necessary. Such an intricate plot line is a joy also. I hope that the hiatus will soon be over, and that whatever it is in RL that is preventing you from writing will have a happy ending.
Warmest regards

Please update, this story is too good to fade into the annals of lost fanfictions.

This is an excellent story. I love of the detail concering the mix of magic and technology. Plus Harry having knowledge of the future and trying to change it. Keep the the great writing and I hope you update soon.

I love this story so much, I'm reading it through again. :D
However, I think I found an error. In "Mixed Reactions", Harry calls Hermione both "Mione" and "Nee". Hermione also thinks how her parents call her "Mione". In this chapter, you say she hates it and one of her Muggle Aunts calls her that.
Sorry if someone pointed that out already, but it niggled at me.
Other than that, I'm sorry I only have ONE MORE chapter to reread, and I really look forward to more.
Thanks,
Meg
