Backwards Compatible
By Ruskbyte
This is a great story ... you write it so well. I've read it before (and left comments), but was reminded of it today when it was referenced in a Yahoo group, came in for a quick browse, and got
caught.
As in your other stories - even 'Those who Hunt Death-Eaters'! - you have a wonderful talent in writing characters whose warmth and compassion for each other just strike me to the core. Maybe I'm
just a softie, but I really feel for the central characters you've written here. The Harry/Hermione relationship for example, is very touching; I desperately want to see that followed through to the
end!
I do hope one day you manage to continue/conclude this great story. Backwards Compatible seems to be one of those stories in HP fandom which everyone knows; its "value" would be an order of magnitude
amplified were it to be complete.
I always love it when there's hope for Harry romantically.
You have created a masterful time travel technology/methodology here.
Just brilliant.
Brilliant.
Bloody perfectly brilliant.
Fan-bloody-tastic.
I love it when the twins are allowed to build dangerous things. I love it even more when they build things for Harry.

This is an awesome fic. At first the robotic Harry was hard to grasp - well you explained his actions, which I didn't get till when they arrived at the great hall.
Your Harry is believably powerful, and its awesome how he can't just tap into instantly. Congrats on making your Harry more CANON as you go along.
This is probably the best Harry-from-future fics I've ever read. SO much information thats relayed to us at a steady pace. Believably given out too. Harry wouldn't just spill the beans. When he holds back, you can see the perfectly valid reasons behind it.
Harry's 'history' seems awful. It seems to get much darker as we learn more, and its not just a one dimensional "There was a war and everyone died." Which gives you the silly impression of a battleground with Harry standing in the rubble.
Oh well better sum up, great fic so far with moments of hilarity to relax the reader.
Time for me to get some sleep I think. Cheers for the great read.
